Greetings Advising Community,

We are excited to announce that the online application for graduation is now live!  The attached "Application for Graduation" power point shows the process in detail.  I've also attached a power point tutorial we've created for students, which will be posted on our website.

Here is a quick look at the process steps:

1)      Student is made eligible to apply for graduation and is notified by email that they may apply

2)      Two checklist items are created for the student, "Apply for Graduation," and "Contact Advisor"

3)      Student applies online

4)      The "Apply for Graduation" checklist item is completed

5)      The student receives a second email with instructions to contact their academic advisor to complete the Degree Audit Worksheet

6)      Student meets with his advisor

7)      Advisor sends the Degree Audit Worksheet to the Graduation Services Advisor

8)      The Graduation Services Advisor records receipt of the worksheet

9)      The "Contact Advisor" checklist item is completed

10)  The Graduation Services Advisor reviews the Degree Audit Worksheet and ultimately posts the degree


The "Pink Sheet" has a new name - "Degree Audit Worksheet."  I've attached that document here; please discard your pink sheets and use this one from now on.


Once the student submits the application for graduation, they will receive an email with instructions to contact you to complete their Degree Audit Worksheet.  But you may choose to reach out to them as well.  There is a report in Analytics you will use to see who has applied for graduation and therefore needs a Degree Audit Worksheet.  Navigate to the Student Degrees dashboard > Expected Graduation tab, and use the top report on that page.  Input the Expected Grad Term you want to see (it will default to the current term), your college, and the Undergraduate career, and click "Apply."  You can export the results and sort by major.

Over 8,000 students will be eligible to apply for any one of the next three terms for graduation.  We will make them all eligible to apply in smaller groups over the next few weeks so we can best handle that volume.  If you have a student who needs to apply for graduation right away, you can send Rachel Hamm (rhamm at email.arizona.edu<mailto:rhamm at email.arizona.edu>) or me a request to manually update the record.  The first batch of students will be made eligible to apply tonight at 8PM.
