[Plsugs] FW: Classes that may be of interest to your students

Please find appended flyers for four class which may be of interest to your
students in the fall 2012 term. 

They are:

 

SWES 310 Residential Rainwater Harvesting: This course is designed to
prepare students to conserve water at their residence by applying rainwater
harvesting. Students develop a complete portfolio for their site that serves
as a guide for implementation. 

 

SWES 397a Teaching Workshop. This course is for preceptors and aims to
prepare them to assist instructors in the classroom. Students become part of
the teaching team for SWES classes. Interested students should contact
JJRiley for more details. We seek non-science as well as science majors. 

 

SWES 195a-001 Careers in Environmental Science. This course is for students
majoring in or with an interest in Environmental Science. Students are
introduced to the broad dimensions of the field by speakers which include:
UA faculty, members of the community, former students, etc. 

 

LASC 195a-002 Water Resources in the Tucson Basin. Introduces students to
water resources and problems in Tucson and Arizona by having them conduct
practical research and prepare short papers on a relevant subject.
