Dear President Robbins,


In the spirit of our advisory role in SPBAC, we wanted to share the outcome of today’s meeting in which we voted to affirm our support for the recommendations developed by the General Faculty Financial Recalibration Committee under Dr. Gary Rhoades leadership (see attached).  We also ask that you consider the analyses and recommendations put forward by both Dr. Price Fishback and Dr. Rhoades’ committee as you work with the Board of Regents to set the University on a path forward.  Fiscal and strategic discipline is the central tenet of their recommendations, with an underlying goal of reducing the uncertainty each unit faces as they plan for future activities.


Thank you for considering our recommendations. And we stand ready for future requests for our collective advice.
