Hello Everyone,

Although all employees across the state are included in the statement (not just Main Campus employees), please see the link https://hr.arizona.edu/news/2024/guidance-university-release-time-commencement-2024, where the guidance states: This can be used by anyone who would be regularly scheduled to work on Friday afternoon, and includes if they would normally work at a University location, or from home. Please note the following items.

WORK FROM HOME*

Staff, faculty, student workers and graduate assistants/associates who normally work at Tucson main campus are strongly encouraged to work from home on Friday, May 10, if possible.
If working from home, employees may end work at noon and use University release time for the rest of the workday.

If working from home is not possible, employees may leave work at noon and use University release time for the rest of the workday.

4 HOURS UNIVERSITY RELEASE

4 hours of paid University release will be allowed after noon on May 10 for all staff, faculty and student workers. Time reporting codes:

RLE – Exempt
RLP – Nonexempt
RLS – Student Workers
RLG – Graduate Assistants/Associates

Codes will be active in UAccess Employee April 29 - May 26.

Dear University Employee,

As we prepare to welcome thousands of visitors to campus to celebrate the Class of 2024 on Friday, May 10, our goal is a seamless transition from regular operations to the celebratory activities across the University and at Commencement in Arizona Stadium.

To achieve this goal, we are asking employees who normally work at Tucson main campus to work from home that day, if possible.

The University is also granting four hours of University release time (paid leave) to be used on Friday, May 10, after 12 p.m. for all staff, faculty, graduate assistants/associates and student workers, whether working from a University location, remotely or outside the state of Arizona.

Those who must remain on campus or work a full day to support University and/or Commencement operations will still receive the four hours of University release time. The hours should be used by May 26. Please use the time reporting codes below.
