Dear Colleagues:

I hope you and yours are well during this time.

I am writing to share COVID-19 Mitigation updates from Student Success & Retention Innovation (SSRI).

Starting <outlook-data-detector://6> Monday<outlook-data-detector://6> 16 March 2020<outlook-data-detector://6>, we will have one location on campus for all SSRI services for students on campus who need to meet with a student success professional in person. We are calling this location the Student Success Information Center. Here are specific details about how we will operationalize the center:

  1.  The Student Success Information Center will be on the first floor of the SALT Center, Patricia A. Bartlett Building. All other floors of the building will be locked. The center will be open M-F from 8<outlook-data-detector://7>am<outlook-data-detector://7>-<outlook-data-detector://7>8pm<outlook-data-detector://7>.
  2.  Through the center, students who are on campus can make contact with a staff member who can offer care, support, and referral to services.
  3.  The center will be staffed by a small group of staff from all SSRI Offices.
  4.  Precautionary steps for additional cleansing of all surfaces will be done throughout the day as well as practicing safe social distancing.
  5.  Staff who are higher risk for COVID-19, or who are caregivers or live with individuals who are higher risk of COVID-19, will not work in the center.
  6.  All other SSRI locations, with the exception of CATS Academics in the Ginny A. Clements Center, will be closed. The Ginny A. Clements Center will be open with reduced hours under the direction of Athletics.
  7.  Tomorrow morning<outlook-data-detector://9>, all SSRI offices will have clear signage posted about the Student Success Information Center. Please see attached and share or use as you see fit.
  8.  Attached is a helpful information sheet on dealing with stress related to the current situation. Please share widely.
  9.  Many SSRI employees will be encouraged to work from home, providing they have adequate internet and telephone service to allow this.
  10. All supports and services, or as much as possible, will be offered online. We are updating all websites with clear headers describing how students can access services online.
