Dear Students/Colleagues Passionate about Climate Justice--

We're writing to invite you to sign up for the Costa Rica Climate Justice Study Abroad Program!

In a time of great environmental, social, and political change, it is more important than ever to foster meaningful dialogue around what community resiliency is. The Costa Rica Climate Justice Study Abroad Program brings together environmental and climate justice leaders in Tucson and Costa Rica--farmers, biologists, indigenous peoples, community advocates and others-sharing their stories and bringing to light the character and skills required for cross sector movement-building as our climate quickly shifts.

The program offers six units of undergraduate and graduate credit and is supported by multiple partners in Arizona and Costa Rica, including the University of Arizona Hispanic Center of Excellence, Office of Study Abroad, and School of Natural Resources and the Environment.  Scholarships are available, including the new CDH Charitable Foundation Study Abroad Scholarship for summer 2018.  The scholarship is need and merit-based, with preference given to first-generation college students.  Qualified applicants are eligible for awards of up to $5,000!

Please join us next Thursday, February 8th  5:15-6:30 p.m.| room S120A in the ENR2 building (next to the Slot Canyon Café) for free pizza and conversation about the program, climate justice, and more!
