Thank you for the discussion today. Attached and below is information regarding the degree map validation. I have reached out to Meredith on a 'hard' deadline on when the validations need to be completed, so stay tuned. In the meantime please continue to work on your major/minor validations since it will truly impact its overall functionality for advisors and students.
I was informed to make all aware of reporting detailed errors. For example, if course lists are incomplete or incorrect please list the specific courses that are missing or incorrect relative to the ADVIP. Thanks in advance!

If you can all validate your degree plans with the Advisement Reports for catalog years from 2013-2017 it would be greatly appreciated. Please complete validations by August 11, 2017.
This validation phase is key in making sure that the degree map will be functional for you and students when it goes live. The more feedback you provide now the better the tool will be. Accuracy is the goal during this validation phase but any feedback to Meredith would also be appreciated.
Below is a list of all CALS plans (majors and minors) and subplans (emphasis/option) with the designated validator(s). Validator 1 (and potentially 2) is the main contact that should send the verifications that all is listed appropriately or to report issues. If you would like to update who is listed in your respective plans please send me an email or call me at 520-621-3611. As a reminder Jim Hunt and I are listed as back up validators for all plans.
*Please note that Distance and Online programs are not yet ready to test but will be in the soon (email will be sent to those individuals with programs in either campuses when ready).

All,
As I continue to do demos and training sessions around the Degree Map validation, I wanted to make available two things: 1) a digital copy of the worksheet so that links to the google sheet are easy, and 2) a 12 min training video<https://arizona.hosted.panopto.com/Panopto/Pages/Viewer.aspx?id=d45d8ca9-1932-4c40-b925-978d52890a3e> for folks who could not make it, or folks who want a refresher. Clearly I'm not looking for a career in show business, but I hope this is clear and easy to follow!
Note that I will communicate to this list as soon as the distance, online campus modification is active in Degree Map - until then, we're not ready to test online or distance students.
