Hello Everyone!

I have attached the link to the REDCap survey per our meeting today: https://redcap.uahs.arizona.edu/surveys/?s=DJNFRA8LHR

Units who do not have a survey in the system: If you would like to add your major surveys to this system, please email me and we can get the ball rolling. You can click the link above to see what the survey looks like.

The majors whose surveys are now up are:

  1. NSC
  2. FSHD
  3. RCSC
  4. Plant Sciences
  5. AREC
I am asking that you please identify 10-20 students in your major, preferably juniors or above, to beta-test the online version. All you'll have to do is email them this link: https://redcap.uahs.arizona.edu/surveys/?s=DJNFRA8LHR Please ask them to email you and let you know if they receive any error messages or glitches so that we can fix them. Also ask them to email you any feedback if they would like. If you can, I would like to have this done by the end of the first week in October and email me when they are in. Students should email you a screenshot of their completion page to prove they did it or if they do it in your office, you could look at the completion page on the computer. It is okay to handpick the students for this based on who you think will do it.
Be sure to continue with having them complete the paper copies of the surveys until further notice but the plan is to transition to online by the end of this semester.
I will send more REDCap info and guidelines that can be shared with students before we launch it completely online, but in the meantime, please let students know the following if they are concerned about anonymity: Only CALS administrators will have access to the data collected in this survey. When data is shared with advisors or others in the department (~1x/semester), the data will be de-identified so that there are no names/emails connected to the responses. This process will be very secure for the student and as always, they should be careful not to disclose personal identifying info in their responses if they are concerned about being anonymous.
Please let me know if you have any questions or feedback. We're almost ready to launch.
