Hi Tierra Seca Members,


The date is set for the SNRE visit to Cochise College on 24 October (see details below).


I will be going, and several other faculty members well.


We are now seeking students to come with us and provides a student-perspective to this recruiting event.  I know that James Pagan was hoping to attend, and he a member of this list serve.  Would anyone else like to join the visit to Cochise College in Sierra Vista for all or part of the day on the 24th?  The more students the better.

Thanks very much for indicating your willingness to take part in the recruitment trips to Cochise College if you can interest additional faculty that would be wonderful.



Dates are set so please let me know which ones you can do.



The Sierra Vista campus visit will be October 24th and you will be there most of the day.



The Douglas Campus visit will be November 6th and it will be about a half day.



Katie and Mitch please see if you can wrangle some students to going along with us (it would be great to get some gender diversity on this).



Katie will be putting together our handouts and other materials for you. Not sure if you will or will not want to do ppt but in case you do I have attached some stuff that I use when guest lecture in RNR 200.



The classes that can be visited follow:



On Tuesday, the Sierra Vista Campus classes meet as follows:

BIO 181 Gen. Biology 1:45-4:30 PM

BIO 181 Gen. Biology  5 - 8:30 PM

BIO 226 Ecology  9:15 AM - Noon

BIO 100 Non major's bio  9:15-Noon

BIO 100 Non major's bio  1:45-4:30 PM



For Monday, the Douglas Campus classes meet as follows:

BIO 181  9:15 AM - Noon

BIO 105 Environ. Science 1:45 - 4:30 PM
