The Cibola National Forest and National Grasslands is seeking interested candidates for a permanent opportunity as the Mt. Taylor/Magdalena Ranger Districts GS-0460-11 Zoned Timber Management Assistant.  The position’s duty station is on the Mt. Taylor District located in Grants, NM. However the position is supervised by the Forest Natural Resource Staff Officer from the Supervisor’s Office.

The Grants and Agreement Administration duties are due to the majority of restoration and timber harvest work being accomplished is done via Stewardship Agreements, the Collaborative Forest Restoration Program and other agreement authorities with local organizations.  The Forest is utilizing these authorities, collaborationand partnerships  to find creative solutions to accelerate landscape scale restoration while supporting the local economy.
