Seeking Rangeland Extension Specialist




The University of Idaho invites applications for an Assistant
Professor of Rangeland Extension. We seek a creative outreach
specialist and researcher who can develop an externally funded and
nationally-recognized research-based extension program focusing on the
sustainable use and management of rangelands. The broad area of
applied research and extension will center on the ecological
implications of grazing and sustainable livestock production on
rangelands.  This is a 12-month, tenure-track position with
responsibilities in extension/outreach (80%) and research (20%).   The
successful applicant will have an appointment in the Forest,
Rangeland, and Fire Sciences Department and will be stationed at the
Twin Falls Research and Extension Center in Twin Falls, ID.
Review of applications will begin February 27, 2011 and continue until
