Greetings all,

Those who had registered already for the annual meeting received the message below yesterday. As you will see, we are moving to an all-online format and will be sending out details about the revised meeting schedule soon. We are very disappointed we won’t be seeing you in Tucson, but are hoping you will be able to join us virtually.

Sending you all our most positive thoughts and best wishes.

Be well,
Barb

Subject: [EXT]Re: COVID19 and the Rangelands Partnership meeting in Tucson

Dear Rangelands Partners,

It is with deep regret that circumstances are such that we are having to move our annual meeting to an online-only format this year. The EC and the AZ RP team have been assessing the situation with the COVID19 outbreak all week and we decided this morning that we needed to make this decision. Advice from public health authorities as well as university officials is to curtail group gatherings, and many of our members have already been told that out-of-town travel is restricted. In fact, the University of Arizona is moving to online teaching for at least a month and are restricting group meetings.

We are sure you have many questions and we hope the following will answer most of them:
• Registration fees will be refunded. Jeremy will let us know how UIdaho will do this.
• Please cancel your reservation at the hotel / rental cars etc. Just know that the Marriott will probably not honor the price after we end our contract with them. Thus, if you’re planning on coming to Tucson anyway you might want to consider other accommodations.
• If you already have airline tickets, please contact them ASAP - many are issuing vouchers for future travel.
• Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help. We are so disappointed!

We are working hard now to revise the agenda so that we can still engage together and gain from the sharing opportunities that we all enjoy. We will be in touch soon with more information about the online meeting.

In the meantime, please let us know if you have any other questions.

Best wishes…and stay well!

Retta and Barb
