[RangelandsPartnership] Rangelands Partnership

Rangelands Partners, Our campus was notified yesterday: “We are also suspending all non-essential university-sponsored domestic and international travel through the end of the semester.” I was already planning on/hoping there would be the usual remote access… However, the current circumstances have impacted events being cancelled. So I’m wondering as well. Dana

Greetings Barb,
I hope this email finds you doing well. I have been waiting to book my flights and hotel for the meeting given the development of the COVID-19 situation and as of yesterday have been told to cancel all work-related travel through the end of this month. I am assuming other folks are receiving similar guidance.
Has there been any discussion about how to hold the meeting with many folks not being able to travel?
Thanks for any thoughts you might have on the matter.
d

I appreciate your understanding, Andrew!! Attached is the latest and almost complete agenda. I will get back to you later about the possibility of giving a short report.

Below is one of the emails you should have received…I checked and you are on the listserv as a subscriber. It is rangelands at list.cals.arizona.edu<mailto:rangelands at list.cals.arizona.edu>

More later…I am meeting with SNRE Biz this afternoon and will get everyone registered.

Thanks for hanging in there with all this! Hope to see you in Denver – booth 302!!

Greetings Rangelands Partners,

The agenda for our annual meeting is almost finalized. It is attached and has also been uploaded to the current Member Site, along with registration information. [https://uwyoextension.org/rwpmembers/<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__uwyoextension.org_rwpmembers_&d=DwMGaQ&c=Cu5g146wZdoqVuKpTNsYHeFX_rg6kWhlkLF8Eft-wwo&r=j4NZxsSB002scT0tnRACuw&m=4YtYXvYEKr36b832Y_4rfoj5p0sRwmHmfL6dqBCIM5Y&s=cUpWBUOS3-U1OElenhFvAL87fnHwakuWOMyYu2ddj3Y&e=>].

We have tentatively listed those partners we believe will be attending and giving state program updates. We hope you will ALL be able to participate in person, but we understand some of you may need to join via Zoom. If that is the case, please let us know as soon as possible.

Please also note that our block of hotel rooms at the Marriott are only held for us until February 29th. If at all possible, please make your reservations sooner than later! Book your group rate for UArizona Rangeland Partnership<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__nam01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com_-3Furl-3Dhttps-253A-252F-252Fwww.marriott.com-252Fevents-252Fstart.mi-253Fid-253D1573061068503-2526key-253DGRP-26data-3D02-257C01-257Colga.felde-2540atriumhospitality.com-257C92f0723913034c6b0d0508d77f377e5d-257C2a940736346f4580951607fd1e7cc52d-257C0-257C0-257C637117748635655307-26sdata-3DPbtvS9J9W9wgx3osBBHAhzdZ8YVqPhHySr5TWHZFL7s-253D-26reserved-3D0&d=DwMGaQ&c=Cu5g146wZdoqVuKpTNsYHeFX_rg6kWhlkLF8Eft-wwo&r=j4NZxsSB002scT0tnRACuw&m=4YtYXvYEKr36b832Y_4rfoj5p0sRwmHmfL6dqBCIM5Y&s=HNqy_XuOdof6Z0MS4trD_nywodayqYhbDEP0gSYp5nk&e=>.

As always, do let us know if you have any questions about the meeting. This is set to be a banner year for the Rangelands Partnership with lots to celebrate. We look forward to seeing you in Tucson!

Best regards,

Barb, Amber, Jeanne, Sheila, and Sarah

No apologies necessary, I get it...I'm barely holding it together too

So sorry, I should have worked more closely with George on this. We have a meeting tomorrow and we will work out the details. I will let you know when you are registered and will send you the agenda and other meeting info too.

Truly, this is on me. I have been distracted with other things - including getting ready for Denver. Again, my apologies.

More tomorrow,

Barb

Yeah, I guess I'm confused too.

All I did was let George know I was attending. I may have missed something too, which is typical. I assumed (probably wrongly) that George would register us as I haven't seen a registration link, again probably on me. So now with your response about whether I should or not I'm even less clear. No big deal, I'm sure it's an easy process. Whether I get reimbursed or you pay direct would be up to you, I'm just going to shift it to my business people. I'll make my lodging reservation tomorrow, if I remember.

As far as ESDs, are you asking about the SRM ESD discussion with Advisory Council (AC)? If so, I'd be happy to report back whatever comes of it. I'm a bit guarded as I'm unsure of other work other sections have done, at a more national scale. But I may be pleasantly surprised at the end of the AC meeting. I'm not even sure if my ultimate goal with this exercise will go anywhere.

Hi Andrew,

Are you saying you have registered via the registration link but want to confirm it went through, or are you asking if we have registered you? If the latter, we haven’t registered any of the AZ group as yet, but I am glad you asked as we need to do this. There are really two options, you can register yourself and get reimbursed or we can do it for you with a p-card. I am going to look into this tomorrow as I am not sure what address to use if we register everyone from Arizona all together.

Also, yes, you should make your own hotel reservation at the Marriott. There is a block of rooms for the Partnership. George will reimburse. I will check with him tomorrow to provide you with the correct account number. Will this be okay? Maybe you could use a p-card for this too.

BTW, I would really like to find a few minutes in the agenda to have you give a brief presentation on your ESD survey. We already have a tight schedule, but if I can squeeze in a little time for this, would you be willing to do it? I think this would be of considerable interest to everyone.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on all this.

Thank you for getting in touch.

Barb

Hi Barbara,

Could you please confirm that I am registered for the Rangelands Partnership event? And add me to the listserv.?

Also, do we have to book our own room or is that being done for us?
