[RangelandsWest] PLEASE REVIEW: proposed Revised Bylaws for the Rangelands West Partnership (aka Rangelands Partnership)

Greetings Rangelands West Partnership members!

As you may recall, at last year's annual meeting in Tucson, we discussed (at some length!) the Partnership's Bylaws and a revision that was brought to the membership by the Executive Committee. When the group could not come to agreement on certain articles in the Bylaws, the agenda topic was tabled and referred to a Task Force to work up another revision based on discussions, etc.

The Task Force, composed of Jeanne Pfander, Rachel Mealor, David Kruger, Amy Shannon, John Tanaka, Mark Thorne, Jeff Mosley, and Walt Fick, has had several conference calls during the past few months and various email interactions and we are now sharing the attached newly revised Bylaws.

We are proposing that after two weeks for your review and consideration, an electronic ballot will be sent out (on April 29) for a Yes/No vote on the whole document, with the closing date for votes being Wednesday, May 8.

By having the vote prior to the Annual Business Meeting in Alaska, we will hopefully not have to spend much/any(?) agenda time on the Bylaws this year. If the majority vote is Yes, we will operate under the new Bylaws at the meeting. If the majority vote is No, then we will appoint another Task Force to re-work another revision of the Bylaws (or agree that we continue to operate under the current bylaws - also attached)!

Please take some time to review the attached Proposed Revised Bylaws and be prepared to vote Yes or No. Feel free to send your questions or comments to the Task Force.
