Rangelands Partnership members -
On behalf of the Executive Committee for the Rangelands Partnership, I invite you to participate in the 2013 Annual Rangelands Partnership Meeting in Anchorage, Alaska, May 12-14. This will be a particularly important meeting because, as you know, the Partnership has recently launched a new, integrated, and much expanded technical infrastructure including a database of more than 13,000 resources made accessible through a suite of web portals. During the meeting, these portals will be reviewed and evaluated, plans for Phase 2 development will be determined, and the implementation of social media applications will be discussed.
However, the most valuable and critical component to the success of the Rangelands Partnership collaboration is the level of support received from the participants representing the 19 member Western Land-Grant Universities. As an active partner, we invite you to give a brief presentation on your state's Rangelands website and related rangelands activities occurring at your institution.
In addition, your participation in the hands-on training workshops for entering content into the primary database as well as state website development discussions will be essential to continued progress in building the Global Rangelands/Rangelands West knowledge system. Similarly, your contributions to discussions on maintaining current content in our "hot topics" sections and other key issues will be important and highly valued.
We hope that you will accept our invitation to attend the 2013 Rangelands Partnership meeting.
To register, go to http://www.uwyoextension.org/rwpmeeting/.
Sincerely,
-Jeanne

Note: If you would like a signed letter such as the above to use in your travel requests, etc. for the Anchorage meeting, please let me know and I'll create one. I've done this for one hopeful attendee already.
