ANTH 395B, Anthropology of Food

Pre-Session, Fully On-Line

Like Anthony Bourdain's "No Reservations"? "Man vs. Food?" Can't get enough
of the Food Network? This is the class for you! All humans everywhere have
to eat in order to live, but how "food" is defined, produced, procured, and
thought about is subject to almost endless variation around the world. In
this class, we'll examine the ways food becomes more than just sustenance or
nutrition, but part of culture and a key part of social life. Bon Appetit!
