Dear Colleague:

Please make this information available to all who may be interested.

The National Council of Commercial Plant Breeders (NCCPB) is offering up to three (3) graduate student awards of $2,500 each.  This award, presented by NCCPB, is for students currently pursuing a PhD.  in Plant Breeding at a U.S. University and is a U.S. citizen.

Criteria for choosing the recipient Include:

1.significance and originality of basic or applied plant breeding thesis research;
2.strong scholastic achievement in graduate level Plant Breeding and related course work;
3.evidence of integrity, professionalism, and effective leadership skills as determined by peer, Graduate Advisor, and Graduate Faculty evaluations.

Please read the attached requirements and format for submitting documentation.
Note that the deadline for returning documentation to this office is October 23, 2015.
