[Plsgs] 2014-15 Selected Seminar Speaker

Hello,

I hope you are having a nice afternoon.

I'm writing with regard to the graduate student selected seminar speakers
for the 2014-15 academic year. The results of the poll were as follows:

1st place - Greg Gilbert, UCSC
2nd - A. Zucarro, E. Grotewold, H. Bucking (3-way tie)
3rd - N. Grunwald, J. Spatafora, J. Harada (3-way tie)

I'm happy to say that we have invited Greg Gilbert to speak and Dr. Orbach
should have his visit date finalized soon. For our second speaker,
unfortunately we are unable to invite some one from outside of the states,
so A. Zucarro is not a possibility; this just recently came to my attention
so I apologize to those that selected international nominees. I would like
to ask you to please choose between E. Grotewold and H. Bucking for our
second speaker, using the doodle poll below:

the poll closes this upcoming Monday evening (Oct. 13).
