[Plsfaculty] Which faculty will join the AZ Expt Station meeting on 08 November?

Hi all:

I have been asked to identify two PLS faculty to "get to know the Arizona Experiment Station" on November 8.  This meeting comes with a free dinner!

Please let me know if you are interested in attending. I think it would be very useful for those using, or thinking to use, Experiment Station facilities.

Hi Julie, David, Murat, Scotty, Laura, Kathryn, and Ken,



We are preparing for your involvement during our Get-To-Know and Q&A Session with the Leaders of the Arizona Experiment Station (AES). We are very grateful that you all agreed to participate. That session will be on 08 November 2023 from 2:00-4:15, with dinner at 6:00.



Now, I am asking you to identify the 1-2 faculty members who will join us for the meeting and whether they will also join us for dinner at La Reforma that evening. We need this information from David Galbraith, Murat Kacira, Laura Scaramella, Kathryn Stoner, and Ken Wilund. Please provide it by 20 October (sooner is always better).



Recall that our goals for this Session are to increase awareness of the AES facilities and services available for you and your faculty, increase our awareness of your needs and future plans, and to develop good relations between AES, CALES and CVM.



The Session will include short, 5 minute presentations by the Leaders of the 10 AES Units (https://experimentstation.arizona.edu/) describing their location, facilities, opportunities for research, extension, and instruction. We will also give an overview of our mission, organizational structure, and procedures for requesting and paying for services. The majority of the time will be set aside for Q&A discussions.

The meeting place is the Windmill Inn, in St Phillips Plaza (Campbell and River; https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/tussphw-homewood-suites-tucson-st-philips-plaza-university/), and dinner is across the parking lot at La Reforma (https://www.reformatucson.com/).
