[Plsfaculty] FW: Please vote on the new menu color scheme on the SPLS web site

The Web/IT committee is in the process of redesigning the main menu for the SPLS web site. The redesign is intended to have a menu of cleaner look and more streamlined. While the some previous menu items, such as People, Research, Extension, will remain unchanged, other menu items are consolidated. The new menu will consist of the following 6 entries:

a.       About us: Welcome, News, Facilities and resources, Calendar, Contact us.
b.      People: Unchanged
c.       Academics: Undergraduate Programs (indented items: Advising, Opportunities in Plant Sciences), Graduate Programs (indented items: Application, Living in Tucson)
d.      Research: unchanged
e.      Extension: Unchanged
f.       Outreach: new item

Three sets of mock website images with the proposed new menu are attached in the email for you to get a feel on how the new menu scheme appears on the web site. These are different colored text and background combination.
