We’re rounding the corner to a new year and a new semester. Due to the general busyness of most people’s schedules the Wellness Highlights for December and January are combined into a single document for your convenience.

The Organized Caregiver: Documenting and Honoring Wishes - December 3: noon-12:30 p.m.
Registration is required: https://arizona.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZcrf-2vqzMpHNWCrecxNNHSBwwWuUzreD3w.

Caregivers offer support to their loved ones in myriad ways, and that often includes the coordination and planning of current and future care. Dependent care advisor Eileen Lawless, MSW: https://lifework.arizona.edu/person/eileen-lawless-msw, and Carla Sutter, MSW, director of the Arizona Healthcare Directives Registry at Health Current, offer approaches for coordinating, communicating, and delegating medical and legal directives, end-of-life wishes, and other important documents. Sutter will also introduce the new online Arizona advance directory registry.

QPR Gatekeeper Training - December 7: noon -1:30 p.m.
Registration is required: https://arizona.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZ0qcOGtrzIpHtVmG_PX1H3CFv2I8MRUejLF.

QPR stands for question, persuade, and refer –three simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Just as people trained in CPR help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. Each year, thousands of Americans like you are saying "yes" to saving the life of a friend, colleague, family member, or neighbor. This session is open to any University of Arizona employee or student to learn how to recognize suicidal behavior in co-workers, family, and friends and to ask important questions. QPR Gatekeeper Training is brought to the University of Arizona by Life & Work Connections and Campus Health. Learn more about QPR from the QPR Institute: https://qprinstitute.com/about-qpr.
