On behalf of Dr. Betsy Arnold:
Dear all,
Interviews are beginning for candidates for the UA Cluster Hire in Ecosystem Genomics. Over the coming weeks candidates will be visiting campus to interview for faculty positions in Plant Evolutionary / Ecological Genomics, Genomics of Adaptation, Molecular Ecology of Soil Microbes, and Earth System Genomics.
Two candidates are visiting this week: Dr. Chelsea Specht (Plant) and Dr. Luciano Matzkin (Adaptation). See below for information on seminars and other interview events.
**Please note that Dr. Specht’s seminar is today, Tuesday, March 22, at 2pm (see below).
Thank you,
Betsy

SEMINAR: Today, Tuesday, March 22, 2:00-3:00pm, Koffler 216
“Petaloidy, Polarity and Pollination: the evolution and diversification of floral form and function”
Dr. Specht received her Ph.D. in 2004 from NYU, working at the NY Botanical Garden, and is an Associate Professor at UC Berkeley where she has been a faculty member and curator since 2005. She studies plant systematics (particularly of monocots) and the evolutionary-developmental biology of flowers. Faculty host: Shelley McMahon, SPLS.
• DR. LUCIANO MATZKIN: March 24-25
SEMINAR: Thursday, March 24, 4:00-5:00pm, Marley 230
