[uainfosec] FYI -- the latest phishing email report

Good afternoon everyone,

We have received multiple phishing reports this afternoon for an email with the subject line "Your UA NetID will expire soon."

The link in the email is troubling, since it contains "webauth.arizona.edu," but it is not a legitimate UA email. The full email is illustrated on our phishing alert site at hxxp://security.arizona.edu/phishing-alerts/31816-your-ua-netid-will-expire-soon (copy and paste the URL, and replace "hxxp" with "http"). The email headers show that the source for the email is a Belgium IP address.

Please share this information with your unit staff, and ask them to delete the email without clicking on any links or providing any information.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,
Teresa
