The UN Convention to Combat Desertification and Drought (UNCCD) will hold
its Conference of Parties (COP) 15 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast from 11-13th May
2022 (https://www.unccd.int/cop15).

Several partners of the IYRP ISG are attending in person and organizing
side events, providing statements, and generally raising awareness about
rangelands and pastoralists.  This group has also developed comments to
strengthen the COP Decisions and Declaration that are in line with the IYRP
themes and key messages.  I attach here for your information the draft of
these comments. Please bring this to the attention of your colleagues and
government officials, including the UNCCD Focal Points.

If you are also attending the COP personally, please send me directly an
email so that I can put you in touch with the others.
