[IYRPsupportgroup] IYRP Support Group Conference Call Minutes (February 2019)

Dear IYRP Support Group Members:

With many thanks to Maryam and Ann for their clarifications, attached are the minutes from the conference call held last week.  It was a productive and most useful discussion that resulted in the Action items listed below.  There have been a number of follow-up discussions since the call that will be reported on soon as well.

Also attached are the following documents for your review and comment:  (1) Terms of Reference (for the Support Group - previously Steering Committee); (2) Example committee structures for previous international years; and (3) an updated IYRP Support Group member list (please send corrections directly to me rather than the listserv as this will help limit the amount of email traffic - thank you!)

  *   ACTION 1: Secretariat will send out the 2-page summary of other international years and their structures and post on website
  *   ACTION 2: ISG members are requested to consider revisions to the TOR of the ISG and any other suggestions on structure and leadership rotation and submit by email.
  *   ACTION 3:  Hijaba will discuss and confirm to hold a joint conference call between the IYRP Support Group and the Mongolian National Support Group after it is officially formed.
  *   ACTION 4:  Mongolia's proposed resolution and background documentation to be submitted to COAG by August 2019. ISG to provide all support as needed.
  *   ACTION 5: Maryam will report back to the smaller group working on UNEA (Fiona, Jon, Kathrine, Ernest, Hijaba, Tungaa, Dana) and request that they finalize the concept note and other preparations. The concept note will then be shared with the ISG so that members can contact country representatives to encourage them to participate at the Breakfast.
