[Faculty] NIH No-Cost Extension functionality is back

Please see message below from the UA Office of Research and Partnerships (ORP):

August 8, 2025
NIH has re-enabled the No-Cost Extension functionality<https://www.era.nih.gov/erahelp/commons/commons/status/NCE.htm> within eRA Commons. Recipients may resume initiating first no-cost extensions in eRA Commons, in accordance with the NIH Grants Policy Statement, Section 8.1.1.3<https://grants.nih.gov/grants/policy/nihgps/HTML5/section_8/8.1.1_nih_standard_terms_of_award.htm#Extensio>.

  *   If you need a no-cost extension, please email your request to Sponsored Projects at sponsor at arizona.edu<mailto:sponsor at arizona.edu>. The request should include a brief justification for the extension, the timeframe needed, and your U of A financial account number.
  *   If you previously submitted a no-cost extension request, please follow up with Sponsored Projects so we can review and re-enter your pending request with the restored functionality.
