Graduation Info: Faculty Attendance & Sign Up
Details for the UArizona/CALS/Ed in-person graduation ceremony continue to be finalized. Here's what we know now; we'll continue to share updates as information is available.

UArizona/CALS Graduation Ceremony
Thursday, May 13, 2021
7 pm, Arizona Stadium

Faculty Attendance

  *   All faculty are welcome to attend the in-person ceremony, including Unit Heads & Directors. In-person attendance is optional, not required.
  *   Regalia (clean, pressed) is required for in-person attendees. Elaine Mattes will share information shortly regarding Faculty Loaner Regalia.
  *   Unknown at this time: Faculty seating (two options are possible - general stadium seating or field seating)
  *   Unknown at this time: Processional (faculty will likely not process - specifics on entrance and will be known closer to the ceremony date)
  *   Faculty attending the in-person ceremony will be required to have a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours prior to the ceremony OR approved vaccination documentation on file through Campus Health.

Faculty Sign Up: Do you plan to attend the in-person ceremony?

  *   If so, enter your name and email on the CALS Faculty Attendance sheet here by Friday, 4/30: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ezXpejD1RCfgAGYTtOCgxpeF4P1Hw1goW47N2GoLgCA/edit?usp=sharing

  *   University Commencement will follow up with you directly with ceremony information (e.g. entrance, seating, etc)

Processional

  *   Currently, platform only.
  *   Students will not process (they'll already be seated on the field).

Hooding

  *   CALS and Ed have agreed to a "call" for PhD and Master's self-hooding by department.
     *   Script example: "We now recognize all PhD and Master's students from the Department of Agricultural Education, Technology & Innovation at the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences. Please stand and place your hood over your head before queuing up."
  *   The Department Head, advisor, or other designate would be able to enter the stage from the field and stand across stage as their students walk.
