[CED/CD/EAT] Follow up: CED Virtual Meeting August 13, 2024

Hello County Extension Directors,

Thank you all for taking the time out of your busy schedules to meet with us last week. Thank you to our guest speakers, Anna Bounds and Rachel Crookston, for sharing information on the ALVSCE Late Proposal Policy and Process. I will include the recording of their presentation below and the supporting documents for your reference.

I am including a copy of the Agenda and the newly updated Position Description template. This has also been updated in Confluence<https://uarizona.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/ACEKB/pages/230195484/Position+Description+Template>,<https://uarizona.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/ACEKB/pages/230195484/Position+Description+Template> and moving forward, this will be the new format. Please share this with your teams for anyone who will be updating their position description. We are not asking that all position descriptions be updated to the new format right away, but if someone has a position description that is five (5) years or older, we ask that they use this new template. To remind you, position descriptions should be reviewed annually, updated as needed, and resubmitted every five (5) years or as duties change. When one of your faculty members has an updated PD, we ask that you send it to Ed and me for approval; I will then update the signature lines and forward them for final signatures. I will send a final copy back to you and your faculty member once it is completed.

We have confirmed the date of the in-person CED meeting for Nov. 20-21, 2024. We will meet in Tucson on the UA Main Campus. I will be sending additional information on lodging and location soon.

Please let me know if you have any questions or topics you would like to discuss at the next CED monthly Zoom meeting, which will be held on September 8th.
