Dear CEDs and Directors,
As you are all aware, Governor Ducey has issued an Executive Order limiting the COVI-19 mitigation strategies that Arizona Universities can employ. I want to make sure you are all equally aware the UA will comply with the order and that they are in the process of updating their COVID-19 guidelines and policies.
At Cooperative Extension, we will continue to follow University Guidelines and monitor local public health conditions.
I will work to keep you all updated to any changes in UA Guidelines or policies concerning this matter.
Regards,
Ed

Dear Colleagues,
I am writing to inform you that Governor Ducey issued an Executive Order<https://click.comms.arizona.edu/?qs=9204e7f431f90fb9d91bf46c437db0361f984e185811f3297f66120b2b7144feb0cadd05de843d19ffef9a6ccfec34e008a82d08408e77604f0ac649bcc8c362> yesterday that places limits on the COVID-19 mitigation measures that can be used at state university campuses. We will comply with the Governor’s Executive Order and continue to monitor our public health conditions to help ensure the health and well-being of our students, faculty and staff.
We remain confident that we can offer a complete slate of in-person classes this fall, and we will work diligently to create modified mitigation plans that are consistent with the Governor’s Executive Order and that properly recognize the roles that vaccination, testing, masking and social distancing played in the successes we have had over the past year. As a result, you will see changes to the University’s COVID-19<https://click.comms.arizona.edu/?qs=9204e7f431f90fb91141e220a53077d1a1d0c45b2d348a6ef17e1a8adc02cd122815ba097716d1466bc47a644bae0040cc1f94f95adbd37abf04a6d9b9fd6a4e> website over the coming weeks as we update our mitigation plans.
We will provide additional updates and direction as we consult with our public health officials and experts to determine the safest path forward within the framework of the Governor’s Executive Order.
I appreciate the dedicated efforts of all students, faculty and staff that have gotten us to this point, and I know that, together, we will continue our positive momentum toward a successful fall semester.
Sincerely,
Robert C. Robbins, M.D.
President
The University of Arizona
