Congratulations to the Arizona agricultural certified applicators and Pest Control Advisors who have already renewed their certifications this year. If my calculations are correct, 49% of the Arizona agricultural certified applicators and the 56% of the Pest Control Advisors have completed the renewal process and extended their certifications for an additional year or two. I hope you enjoyed the courses you attended in 2020.

If you are reading this and are in need of a few more hours and ideas on how to find CEU classes, I hope the following is helpful. Below you will find information about two UA Cooperative Extension courses and a link to AZDA's list of online providers.

Pest Management and Pesticide Safety Seminar - available through December 18th
The annual Pest Management and Pesticide Safety Seminar is being offered as a virtual online series of presentations this year and is available to view now through Friday, December 18 (absolute deadline). Six (6) CEU's have been approved for Arizona agricultural and structural (PMD) certifications and Pest Control Advisor (PCA) licenses. The topics presented include turfgrass weeds and their control, insects and gopher control, and pesticide safety. Presenters represent the Universities of Arizona, California and Tennessee. The webinar provides multiple access to break up the 6 hours of presentations. Follow-up quizzes accompany each session and are required to obtain the CEU's. Details of the program and a link to the registration page can be found in the attached flyer titled, "Pest Management and Pesticide Safety Seminar." The $40 registration + transaction fees can be paid using a credit card.

Arizona/Utah Invasive Weed Virtual Update - Evenings of December 15th and 16th
This workshop, sponsored by Utah State University and University of Arizona Cooperative Extension, will focus on invasive weed ecology, weed control and pesticide safety. The course sponsor applied for 6 CEUs. For more information, please refer to the attached document "AZ-UT-weed-update-agenda-dec2020" and the website:
