Unit and Division Leadership,

Approximately 100 employees are expected to convert from exempt (salaried) to non-exempt (hourly) effective with UCAP.  This is expected to prompt questions from supervisors and employees in the management of their timesheets, overtime pay, and best ways to manage employee work time.

Below is training by Division Business Services to get ahead of the concerns.  Your help is requested to share the training as a resource to faculty and staff.  A new website in Compass has been created to host the pertinent UCAP information.  Thank you for your help.

Good Morning Colleagues,

We have trainings available for all supervisors and employees to learn more about how the changes in exemption status will affect our workforce in AVLVSCE. We have trainings starting as early as Friday (9/20/2019) and run through October (last one 10/09/2019). Below is the UCAP website we have created as a landing page for all related items both from Central HR and DBS. Under the "ALVSCE Communications and Presentations" supervisors and employee are able to see what day, time and location we are hosting these training sessions. Please forward to your supervisors in your unit who can distribute to their employees.

For in person sessions there is not a need to enroll, only for those who are interested in the zoom link.
