[CED/CD/EAT] Agricultural STEM/Literacy Meeting

We recently hired Gigette Aja Webb to lead our efforts in Agricultural STEM and Agricultural Literacy.  She serves as Associate Programmatic Area Agent - Agricultural STEM and is located in the Maricopa County Cooperative Extension office.  With her area designation she will be addressing stakeholder needs in Maricopa as well as other adjacent counties with significant urban populations. Gigette's hiring represents a significant step forward in our efforts to maintain and expand programming in Agricultural STEM/Literacy.  I would therefore like to schedule a coordination meeting in September with all faculty/staff working in Agricultural STEM/Literacy.   The purpose of the meeting will be three-fold: 1) to get acquainted with faculty/staff involved in Agricultural STEM/Literacy, 2) to allow faculty/staff to discuss their current programs and 3) to identify programmatic needs (e.g., literature, dissemination platforms, curriculum, etc.).

Please forward this email to relevant faculty and staff in your office and encourage them to participate in this meeting.  We are focused on three possible September meeting dates: 18, 25 and 26 September.  I have provided a link to a Doodle poll in an effort to identify the best date.  If morning is the preferred meeting time the meeting will end with lunch.  If afternoon is the preferred time we will begin with lunch.  The AgNR Program budget will cover the cost of travel to attend this meeting.
