[CED/CD/EAT] Arizona Cooperative Extension 4-H Youth Development Policy and Procedure Handbook

Good Evening,

After much hard work by the entire 4-H program I am excited to share the Policy and Procedure DRAFT Handbook for a final review. This document has experienced a significant transformation. Please take some time to read the document in it's entirety. At this point I am asking for two points of feedback: grammatical, clarity issues, and feedback on implementation processes which I recognize there will be many obstacles. In the coming week, I will also share a "Homework" document that several very important topics have been moved to based on the need for a larger systemic review (OGC, Youth Safety, etc.).


  1.  I will have time to address questions during the CED meeting on Monday.
  2.  I will have time to address questions during the Annual Conference, Arizona Association of Extension 4-H Agents meeting on Wednesday.

We are first and foremost in an exciting time with the National 4-H organization making systematic change as we are experiencing our own re-imagination of what we can be.  This document reflects in many ways the confluence of those two efforts. Please share written feedback to me directly by August 9th at noon.

I would also like to give a public thank you to Devin Engle, who has provided excellent project management support to this process. Her rich experience with New York and Colorado 4-H brought a richness of perspective to this document as well. I am sharing this document to you before her final copy edit so that you have a chance to digest the information ahead of and during Annual Conference.
