Dear Extension Professionals and other Interested Western Section, ASAS
members,

Please consider attending the Extension Lunch and Symposium we will be
hosting at the Ruidoso Convention Center on Thursday, June 25, 2015 from
12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The Symposium entitled /Value of Low Stress
Livestock Handling in Livestock Production Practices/ has strong
industry support and will offer pertinent information valuable to both
Extension professionals and their clientele. We have a stellar group of
speakers who will present and following the keynote presentations, we
will have Extension professionals describe how they have implemented Low
Stress Livestock Handling training in their state. The Symposium will be
preceded by an Extension luncheon partially funded by the NM Beef Council.

Due to strong industry support by the National Cattlemen’s Beef
Association, NM Beef Council, Boehringer Ingelheim, University of
Arizona Extension, and NMSU Extension, we are able to provide the
Extension Lunch and Symposium at a reduced rate of only $25 per person
(including lunch). We hope you will consider attending this Symposium
and will actively promote attendance by your clientele. To register for
this Symposium, please log on
https://www.asas.org/membership-services/asas-sections/western-section/meetings
<http://ASAS.informz.net/z/cjUucD9taT00MjAzNjE0JnA9MSZ1PTgxMDIzMTk1NiZsaT0yNjE2NjA2Ng/index.html>
. We encourage attendance at the entire WSASAS meeting, but if you can
only make the June 25^th Extension Lunch and Symposium, there is an
option available online for attendance at only that event. The host
hotel for this convention will be the Lodge at Sierra Blanca and it is
within walking distance of the Convention Center. Total fees for the
basic room at the Lodge is $131/night (using the meeting code WSASA15).
