Subject: Transition from UAccess Academic Program Workflow to Coursedog

Dear colleagues,

We are excited to announce that beginning 11/19/2025, several curricular request forms will be transitioned to the Coursedog catalog software. These request forms were previously available as online forms in UAccess Student or as Word document templates on the Curricular Affairs website:

  *   Preliminary Proposal (for majors only)
  *   Program Add proposal (new majors, minors & certificates)
  *   Program Disestablishment
  *   Program Modifications, including:
     *   Substantial Change
     *   Graduate Non-Substantial Change
     *   Admissions Pause
     *   Campus/Location Update
     *   CIP Code Change
     *   Graduate Stacking Certificate Request
     *   Program Name Change
     *   WUE/WRGP Application

Transition to Coursedog

Beginning 11/19/2025, all requests to create new programs, disestablish existing programs, and make the above modifications to existing programs will be submitted through forms in the Coursedog system.

  *   Users will no longer submit or approve Program Add requests in UAccess Student.
  *   Curricular Affairs will no longer accept PDF/Word template forms via email for Program Disestablishments or the above modifications to existing programs.
  *
Any existing requests awaiting approval and near their completion will remain in UAccess.
  *
Any existing requests awaiting approval that are just beginning their route or are waiting for CA review on that date will be transferred to the appropriate new form by Curricular Affairs; all outstanding approvals will be completed in the Coursedog system.
     *
Program Disestablishment, Substantial Change, Admissions Pause, Campus/Location Update, CIP Code Change, and Name Change requests will be transferred from their PDF/Word template to Coursedog.

Training is available in Edge Learning<https://arizona.sabacloud.com/Saba/Web_spf/NA7P1PRD161/app/catalog/search?searchText=coursedog&selectedTab=LEARNINGEVENT&filter=%7B%7D> for new submitters and approvers.

User Access

To log in to Coursedog, navigate to https://app.coursedog.com/ and enter your arizona.edu email address and click Next. You will be routed to log in via WebAuth as with any other University system.

  *
Users who previously submitted or approved Program requests as of 11/19/2025 in UAccess have already been provisioned with that same level of access in Coursedog.
  *
Users who have not previously submitted or approved curricular forms in UAccess as of 11/19/2015 can request access to Coursedog using the Access Provisioning Tool<https://uarizona.service-now.com/accessflow>, under the Coursedog – Academic Program Management category.

Future Plans

Additional curricular forms will be developed in Coursedog in the future. The following request types will continue to use their existing submission/approval processes at this time:

  *   Course requests (Add, Modify, and Inactivate)
  *   Undergraduate Annual Curriculum Updates
  *   Degree Type change requests
  *   New Prefix requests
  *
Program Ownership change requests
  *
New and/or Modifications to Academic Units (name changes, transfers of ownership, etc.)

While the submission and approval process in Coursedog should be straightforward for most users, we understand that you may have questions about using the new platform. We have scheduled Coursedog open house sessions on 12/01/25<https://arizona.zoom.us/j/6736711305?omn=84724989461> and 12/04/25<https://arizona.zoom.us/j/6736711305?omn=81415643993> to demonstrate the system and answer any questions you may have.
