[Agvisors] December Graduation: 2-Step Submission for Students

Hello Agvisors:

The CALS December 2020 Virtual Graduation Ceremony will be live-streamed on Friday, December 18 at 9 am AZ time via the CALS YouTube channel. To plan for the celebration, we've created a 2-step process for all graduating students (undergrad and grad) to complete. Graduating students will begin receiving communication today through the CALS Graduation eNewsletter. Similar information is also posted online: https://cals.arizona.edu/cals-graduation-convocation

Step 1: October 23-November 1
--Students must complete this form<https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=BVXjXo7rKUmTfWRd9QEyiIlj9jQnHshEq6wEEk37XyZUNjNWNEJWRVRPMU40QVFZTUdMMkUxRjRNUyQlQCN0PWcu> to request their medallion and indicate preference (e.g. RSVP/opt-in) for their name to be publicly published.

Step 2: Starting November 2
--For students who opted-in to have their name published (in Step 1), they'll be able to submit any/all of the following for inclusion in the CALS graduation video: photo, celebration video, and thank you message.

Why the steps? It's a matter of logistics! We need to mail the medallions as early as possible.

Why the need for students to opt-in? Similar to in-person ceremonies, CALS does not automatically, publicly recognize all eligible recipients during virtual ceremonies - only those who RSVP/attend/or opt-in. To respect student privacy rights, CALS adheres to an "opt-in" policy when it comes to using a student's name publicly (e.g. in a ceremony video, on our website, or through social).
