[Agvisors] Transfer Example

Hi,
My name is Christina Garcia and I am your academic advisor for the Animal Science major which is housed in the School of Animal and Biomedical Science.  I wanted to take a second to welcome you to the Animal Science Major and The School of ACBS and say how excited we are to have you join us this Fall!!
I wanted to touch base with you to see if you are familiar with the different emphases (also referred to as options) that the Animal Science major has to offer.  They are Animal Industry, Equine, Science and Pre-Professional, and Racetrack.  To best assist you during your orientation, it would be best if you can narrow it down to one or two that you are interested in.  If you can't that is ok, and we will discuss more during the orientation session. I have attached a presentation that better explains the emphases.  Make sure you click through the presentation and have your sound on so you can hear the voice over. If you do select an option please email me your choice prior to orientation.
I have reviewed your transfer credit prior to your orientation and noticed that you have a handful of courses that need to be evaluated by their respective departments.  In case you haven't started the evaluation process yet, here are the courses that need to be evaluated and the links to start the evaluation process:

I have reviewed your placement exams and don't see any scores for Math or Second Language.  I highly recommend that you take these placement exams prior to attending your orientation.  These scores will help us to determine what courses you should enroll in for your first semester. You should be able to access these exams through your Next Steps Center.   In addition, I wanted to remind you of some items to bring with you to your orientation session.  If you have any AP/IB credit or you completed any courses in Fall 2019 can you bring the unofficial transcript and/or score sheets with you so I can look over them, as well as any question you might have.
