Below is the one for freshman, but you can take out some verbiage in the last paragraph about AP/IB credit and it can be used for transfer.


Hi,

  My name is Christina Garcia and I am your academic advisor for the Animal Science major which is housed in the School of Animal and Biomedical Science.  I wanted to take a second to welcome you to the Animal Science Major and The School of ACBS and say how excited we are to have you join us this Fall!!

I wanted to touch base with you to see if you are familiar with the different emphases (also referred to as options) that the Animal Science major has to offer.  They are Animal Industry, Equine, Science and Pre-Professional, and RaceTrack.  To best assist you during your orientation, it would be best if you can narrow it down to one or two that you are interested in.  If you can't that is ok, we will discuss more during your orientation session. I have attached a presentation that better explains the emphases.  Make sure you click through the presentation and have your sound on so you can hear the voice over. If you do select an option please email me with your selection prior to your orientation.

In addition, I wanted to remind you of something items to bring with you to your orientation session.  If you have transfer credit or AP/IB credit, can you bring the unofficial transcript and/or score sheets with you so I can look over them, as well as any question you might have.  I look forward to meeting you next Friday, May 31st.  If you have any questions in the meantime, please don't hesitate to reach out.
