At The University of Arizona BookStores and as a key resource of the university, we are committed to serve and protect our customers and community. In response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak worldwide, we want to share with you the actions we are taking to ensure the safety of our students, faculty, staff, and Wildcat fans.

At this time, the University of Arizona BookStores and A-Stores will continue to open regular business hours.<https://arizona.us11.list-manage.com/track/click?u=65d6b15ea2554ded88ed80b70&id=41ba65323f&e=8aa89b304b>  As we work closely with Officials at the University of Arizona who are communicating with the Arizona Department of Health Services and Pima County Health Department, we continue to monitor the situation 24/7.  Though there have been no cases on any domestic University of Arizona campuses, we understand the seriousness of the situation and customers should regularly check this page<https://arizona.us11.list-manage.com/track/click?u=65d6b15ea2554ded88ed80b70&id=243b559671&e=8aa89b304b> for updates and updated store hours.

Following university guidelines<https://arizona.us11.list-manage.com/track/click?u=65d6b15ea2554ded88ed80b70&id=01a0b18a92&e=8aa89b304b> with moving classes online, the BookStores has cancelled all events held at our locations, including March and April Storytime until after the restrictions have been lifted.  We have also cancelled business-related travel and are working to meet with vendors, partners, etc. via Zoom to limit face-to-face interactions.  Additionally, as our staff consist of 80% students, we have offered our student employees who do not feel comfortable in coming to work to check-in remotely. We want to ensure you that the sanitation of all BookStores locations, offices, and distribution centers are at high-priority.  We are augmenting our normal cleaning procedures at our facilities by increasing how often we clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, such as door handles, tables, keypads, and counters.  Hand sanitizers are available throughout the stores. Lastly, the Starbucks located in the BookStores flagship location has also temporarily discontinued sampling and utilizing reusable cups in an effort to reduce the amount of contact between customers and staff members, and has all Starbucks employees washing their hands every 30 minutes.  At Starbucks and any BookStores location, we offer cashless options for our customers such as Apple Pay to minimize the exchange of contact.

The Dean of Students Office<https://arizona.us11.list-manage.com/track/click?u=65d6b15ea2554ded88ed80b70&id=daf8fd660a&e=8aa89b304b> will be providing up to date information regarding academics and student well-being. For courses beginning March 18, 2020, you can purchase in-store or online. New, used, rental, digital books, and class notes are available. You may pick-up in store or free standard shipping on course materials, with promo code "SHIPTEXT" through April 6, 2020.

Required digital content through the Inclusive Access program is available through D2L. For courses beginning March 18, if you don’t wish to purchase required materials, you must opt-out by March 24, 2020.

As you transition to online classes, our technology department can assist in making sure you have the devices you need as well as provide help with upgrades.  Some examples of devices we offer are: monitors, keyboards, mice, external hard drives, extension cords, power strips, and more.
