Message from Roxie Catts - I am sending the following information to a few small groups of leaders and associates in the advising community.  Read the exchange from the bottom up.  Given limited resources, the hope is to get needed equipment into the hands that need it most.

Thanks for sharing Roxie! For those of you that have programs in the statewide locations, we also have a supply of laptop and hot spot devices specifically for students in the Near You Network for which they can apply here: https://uarizona.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6uoyjZ8hRP5REpv. No referral needed for these ones, they just have to be attending one of the South or Distance campus locations.

Hi Cynthia,

UA Libraries continues to have laptops available for loan with automatic renewals to any enrolled UA student. This extended renewal period has been in place since last March. More details can be found at https://new.library.arizona.edu/tech/borrow

We have added a limited supply of wifi hot spot devices that can be borrowed through referral only, to ensure they are loaned to students who are in the greatest need (and not those who have other viable options but like the idea of free internet access). Thus, we do not include hot spots listed on the public-facing tech lending web page. The referrals come from our partners the Thrive Center, cultural centers, and Native American Initiatives. Michell McKelvey in the Thrive Center is the referral point person, and can provide additional details.
