Hi Nancy,

I thought it might be helpful to pass along more information for the digital book fee I mentioned today in the Agvisors meeting. The actual name for the program is the “Inclusive Access Program” but it will show up on the student’s account as a digital book fee. It is intended to reduce the cost of having to purchase the physical textbook but many student’s don’t realize they are going to be charged this fee regardless if they buy the actual textbook or not. A student must opt-out of the “Inclusive Access Program” for each course and each semester they are enrolled in. This is the only way to avoid paying the fee associated with each individual course. The link I provided has the instructions on how to opt-out of the program, the deadlines to opt-out by, and also a better explanation of what the program is. There is a lot of helpful FAQs on the link as well to help students and advisors.
