[Agvisors] Updates on CALS Graduation Programming

Hello Agvisors: As a follow-up to today's meeting, I wanted to share these graduation-related programming updates, for your reference. An important caveat: all colleges coordinate graduation processes differently. If you have a student double majoring in another college the RSVP/submission deadlines will vary from ours in CALS. As always, please direct your questions/student questions to me.

CALS Senior Profile Slide/Thank You Message

*       Deadline for student submission was Sunday, April 21 at midnight.

*       Students submitted this info: Name, Major, UA Involvement, Thank You Message, Graduation photo (the photo is optional)

*       If you hear from students that they missed the deadline have them contact me directly (gms at email.arizona.edu).

*       Slides will run in the Forbes Lobby during the CALS Senior Sendoff and also during the CALS Graduation Convocation.

*       Deadline to RSVP is May 3: https://cals.arizona.edu/events/cals-senior-sendoff-0

*       Guests are invited

*       Agvisors are encouraged to attend as well! (RSVP is appreciated)

CALS Graduation Convocation

*       Deadline to RSVP is May 3: https://cals.arizona.edu/events/cals-graduation-convocation-1

*       About 500 undergraduate + graduate students have RSVP'd already

UA Commencement/Career Destination Survey

*       Deadline to RSVP is May 3: https://commencementrsvp.arizona.edu/

*       Even if students are not participating in the UA Commencement ceremony, undergraduate students are still encouraged to complete the UA Career Destination Survey. After completing the survey, students can then RSVP yes/no. They can also not attend the big UA ceremony even if they RSVP yes.

*       All CALS undergraduate students who complete the survey will receive a "backpack to briefcase" gift courtesy of the CALS Career Center. We currently have 307 CALS students who completed the survey; our goal is for about 80% (540) of our May/August graduating undergraduate student class to complete the UA Career Destination Survey.

*       FYI - the University does not currently have a destination survey for graduate students.
