·        Finals Week De-Stress Events.  Need a study break?  There are a number of events coming up to help you de-stress.


o   The Immigrant Student Resource Center (ISRC) and the Adalberto and Ana Guerrero Student Center are sponsoring a stress relief event on Wednesday, December 6, 12:30-3:00 pm, in the Chávez Building, 2nd Floor. o   UA Health Sciences Library is hosting a coffee break, Tuesday, December 5, 6:00-8:00 PM.  Free coffee, snacks, and therapy dogs will be available to all!



o   Join Campus Rec for a FREE de-stressor during Finals Week on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 6:00-7:30 PM in the Kiewit Auditorium (UA Health Sciences - Cancer Center)! Art and Yoga will be available to help you relax and take a breather before hitting the books and taking your final exams. o   The LGBTQ Resource Center will be sponsoring the following:

§  Wednesday, December 6:  Holiday arts and crafts from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm with a 2nd session at 3:00 pm.  Snacks will be provided in case people are too stressed to find time to eat.

§  Friday, December 8:  the Center will be making DIY facials from 11:00 am - noon.  A 2nd session can take place later.  There will also be pizza for lunch!


·        TOMORROW The Commission on the Status of Women will be hosting a Campus Leader Panel on December 6, 2:00-3:30, in the Kiva room of the Student Union Memorial Center.  Don't miss this opportunity to meet these inspiring campus leaders and ask them questions! Panelists will discuss their journey to leadership, navigating equity and mentoring, and provide tips for the audience who aspire to grow in their careers at UA. ·       The Arizona State Museum invites you to celebrate the opening of their newest exhibit, Life Along the River:  Ancestral Hopi at Homol'ovi.  December 8, 6:30-9:00 PM.  There will be a panel discussion about Homol'ovi, exhibit viewing, and a reception honoring Dr. E. Charles Adams.  Then on December 9, 9:30 am -2:00 pm, join ASM for Culture Craft Saturday: curator-led tours of Life Along the River, talks, music, hands-on exhibit-inspired crafts and games. ·       Health Care Disparities in the Department of Corrections. ·       New Study Abroad Program Effective Summer 2018.  This College of Humanities program gives students the opportunity to study in locations hosting some of the world's biggest soccer tournaments each summer with the guidance and support of the University of Arizona. During this five week program (four weeks in the host country), students will earn six Gen Ed credits studying the history and significance of soccer around the world, intercultural competence, and the complex and fascinating culture of the host country. This program will change locations each year based on which country is hosting a major professional soccer tournament that summer. ·       Spring 2018 RELI-NTH-HUMS 428/528A course, Globalization, the Environment, and Indigenous Cultures.  This course discusses the impact globalization has had on the world environment over the last twenty years.  Focusing on climate change, ecocide, and their consequences for Indigenous peoples, we will come to understand the expansive scope of globalization through a multitude of perspectives, including those of women and the incarcerated. The UA Inclusive Excellence Symposium is an in-house diversity conference with various workshop sessions and a keynote speaker. The symposium is free and open to UA students, faculty and staff.
