[Agvisors] Info Request: Department Internship Documentation

Earlier this week I met with course schedulers in your departments to review the UAccess Engagement attribution process. For some CALS departments that person is the academic advisor; in the other departments, however, the roles are different. Thank you to all who attended that meeting; I found the discussion quite helpful, I hope you did as well.

At the meeting, a question arose about internship documentation/contracts that you use at the department level. The department level internship information you share with students seems like a great place to consider adding a message about Engagement in CALS, specific to internships.

To that end, would you be willing to send me a copy of the internship documentation you share with students? I'd like to review the info to determine if/where an Engagement message would be appropriate. Of course, anything I suggest would be just that - a suggested message that you could include in your internship information.

Even if your department does not currently have upper division internship tagged as Engagement, there are non-credit options for students to earn an official Engagement notation. I'll also be reaching out to those departments who don't currently have internships tagged as Engagement to see if there's interest in adding the Engagement attribute.
