[Agvisors] Update from Julie

Hi Agvisors,

Happy Friday!  Julie Adkins has asked that I pass along some information.  She apologizes for not returning any emails you may have sent her, but right now she is extremely busy posting degrees!  You might not be aware, but Julie has to go into each student account and manually award a degree, so it is a time consuming process.  Plus, she doesn't only have CALS students; she also posts degrees for all Eller and Physiology graduates- that's a lot of degrees to post!  Posting degrees is her number one priority at this time and she will probably not be done for another two weeks, so please keep this in mind if you send her an email.

For your reference, I have included some information and answers to questions students may be asking you:

-          Official transcripts for all outstanding transfer credit (grades posted, C or better earned) must be received by June 13.

-          Students can check UAccess to see if their degree has been posted (in "My Academics" they can select "Request Enrollment Verification").

-          Degrees aren't posted in any particular order, so there is no way to give an estimate on when a degree will be awarded that is more specific than "in the next few weeks".

-          Diplomas are mailed to the student's permanent address and are typically received 3-4 weeks after the degree posts (a third party company prints the diplomas; they are not printed at UA and students can't pick them up here).  Students will receive an email from the Michael Sutter Company when their diploma is mailed.

-          All past-due balances must be paid before a diploma is printed or a transcript can be ordered.

If you have an urgent issues or questions you can let Nancy or I know and we can work to assist you, otherwise Julie will follow up with all her emails and messages as time permits (most likely in two weeks)!
