[Agvisors] CALS 195C Success Course Advising Assignment

Hi Agvisors,

Happy almost end of the week!  I wanted to give you all a heads up about an assignment that is mandatory for all the freshmen that are enrolled in our CALS 195C success course.  They are required to have an advising appointment with their major advisor before September 26, so they will probably be meeting with you throughout the next week, if they haven't already.  The students will have a worksheet (attached) that they will need to have printed and filled out before they meet with you.  It is meant to prepare them for having a productive and meaningful appointment with you.  When the appointment is over, they are required to get your signature as verification that the appointment did occur.  They will turn in this worksheet to get credit for the assignment.  We hope both you and the student can use this appointment as an opportunity to discuss academic and career goals, opportunities within the major, and major requirements.
