Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Training

November 15, 9:00 - 11:00, SUMC 411

 

 

Would you like to learn more about how to prevent suicide on campus as an
Academic Advisor? If so, you're invited to a Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR)
Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Training offered by the Campus Health Service.
At the end of this interactive training, participants will be able to
recognize the warning signs of suicide, know how to offer hope, and learn
how to help save a life. Suicide is the second leading cause of death among
college students, and Academic Advisors are in a unique role to be a
lifeline to students who may be struggling with suicidal thoughts. A
certificate is also available upon completion.

 

There are still seats available for this excellent training session offered
by Campus Health Service.
