Good afternoon.

 

The Faculty Senate recently modified the PE Activity course policy (see
attached document for policy details).  A new line has been added to the top
section of advising reports to verify that students have not exceeded the 3
unit PE activity course limit.  This line will only look for courses with
the PEAC requirement designator.  If a student has more than 3 PE activity
units the line will show as not satisfied.  Any additional PE activity units
over the 3 unit limit will need to be manually subtracted from the total
units.

 

When advising a student who has exceeded the 3 unit limit, ensure that they
will meet the total units required by the degree with the exclusion of the
unit overage. Keep in mind that 2 year institution credit is already
adjusted to 64 units maximum for most UA majors and these units may have
already been excluded with that cap. Graduation Services advisors will
assist you in fulfilling the advisement report requirement by waiving the
requirement if the student's total units are fulfilled without the exceeded
PE activity units.
