*** The Annual Turfgrass Field Day will be Thursday morning, May 11 at the UA Rincon Vista Sports Fields (note the new location which is southeast of the main UA campus).  Featured topics will be subsurface drip irrigation for turf; spring transition; turf equipment maintenance demonstrations; sprinkler irrigation nozzle trouble-shooting; update of the salinity remediation research; and pest insect monitoring techniques. *** Make accurate and effective pesticide applications by getting refreshed at the “Fertilizer & Pesticide Applications Workshop: Math made easy and equipment calibration” as the topic of the Annual Spring Turfgrass Seminar on Wednesday, April 26 at the Maricopa County Cooperative Extension office in Phoenix. CEU’s have been applied for golf and DPM pesticide applicator license holders. Send in the registration form and fee now  http://turf.arizona.edu

*** A special training study session over 2+ days (April 17, 24, & 28) will be a “Review in Preparation for Initial Licensing Exam" for golf and agricultural pesticide applicators. In-depth coverage of the "National Pesticide Applicator Core Manual” will enable attendees to be more prepared and confident before taking the exam on April 28 at the Maricopa County Cooperative Extension office in Phoenix.
