Hello everyone,
We are excited to invite you to contribute to a global storytelling effort celebrating the 2026 International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists (IYRP).
Throughout 2026, we will release one short video each month, each highlighting that month’s official IYRP theme. To bring these themes to life, we want to feature photos from all 11 IYRP regions: Arctic, Australia/Oceania, Central Asia & Mongolia, East Asia, Eastern & Southern Africa, Europe, North Africa & Middle East, North America, South America, South Asia, and West & Central Africa.
We are seeking photo submissions that capture rangelands, pastoralist communities, daily activities, livestock, and the landscapes that define these regions. Our team will select photos for each monthly theme. If we receive more photos than we can use for a specific month, we will try to include them in a different month.
All selected contributors will be recognized in a rolling credit page at the end of each monthly video.
Submission Deadline: December 31st 2025
Photo guidelines are attached.
Thank you in advance for helping us showcase the beauty and diversity of the world’s rangelands.
Please feel free to share this project with your network so we can reach pastoralist communities worldwide and ensure all regions are represented.
